Update: Brain Scan Needed for the Father of Gazan Family Whom We Support
Salem is to Undergo a CT Scan

As you are aware, half the proceeds from paid subscribers go to the Ibrahim family in Gaza—Salem, the father, Nourhan, the mother, Elias, the young son, and Salem’s elderly parents. (If you wish to learn more about them, I pinned their story on my landing page here.) They depend solely on donations for survival, as Salem lost his job after the IOF invasion on October 27, 2023.
A few days ago, Salem reached out to me and told me that the doctors informed him that he likely has a cyst on his brain, and that he immediately needed money for a CT scan. Thanks to the paid subscribers here and a recent founding member’s contribution, I was able to send him half the funds for that scan.
I’m grateful to all of you who support them, and the Ibrahim family thanks you for your continued help. I try my best to support them as well, but with my move, not having a job, it is a challenge to do it all on my own.
Salem told me that he has indescribable pain and that painkillers aren’t helping it go away, which broke me in two. I don’t want any of them, or anyone for that matter, to experience that sort of pain.
If you pray to a God or gods, please do so. If not, please keep them in your thoughts. Here’s to hoping for the best.
I will keep everyone informed on what the scan reveals.
If you’d like to help out money-wise, it’s straightforward. For starters, if you’d like to become a paid subscriber to my Substack, you can do that. I am aware that many people are making donations here, there, and everywhere (thank you for being such generous human beings!), and your budgets are likely tight, as mine is. However, even just $2.50 a month going towards supporting this family will help immensely, especially if we collectively pool our resources. (If you aren’t inclined to become a paid subscriber, which is totally cool, you can also just hit the link below the family picture above or click on it here for a one-time donation. Please share their story with people you think might be interested in helping out, too.)

How can I help (other than subscribing, which I have already done)?
