The GOP's Pedophile Problem: Why Won't the Mainstream Media Talk About It?

These crimes appear here and there and everywhere—they are printed in newspapers across the country. Clearly, there is a pattern of abuse and it relates directly to the GOP. The rot runs deep. One need look no further than the Oval Office. One does not have to look far to find individuals with strong ties to MAGA, are in positions of power as GOP party members, and then discover they are pedophiles, sexual abusers, or domestic abusers. For example, it took a quick Google using the words like, “GOP child sex crimes,” along with a click on “News” to discover RJ May’s sex crimes.

Former South Carolina MAGA hardliner Rep. RJ May, who had the account name “joebidennnn69,” was charged and pleaded guilty to distributing over 200 explicit files of toddlers and young children on the Kik social media over the course of several days in spring 2024.

He was the founder of the far-right Freedom Caucus in the South Carolina House, but resigned his house seat in early August. Initially, he plead not guilty to 10 counts of child sexual abuse material when he was first arrested in June. That is, until his lawyer most likely sat down with him and set him straight. As he eventually, as already mentioned, pled guilty.

In a press release dated 12 June 2025, the United States Attorney’s Office, District of South Carolina, stated:

Kik flagged several videos from the username “joebidennnn69” as containing child sexual abuse. Investigators connected the account to the home IP address and mobile device of May and identified at least 10 videos depicting child sexual abuse that were shared from the account.

May faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison with a minimum of five years, a fine of $250,000, and a term of at least five years of supervised release to follow any term of imprisonment.

May is one of hundreds of individuals, if not thousands, who are far right, have direct ties to the GOP, and are pedophiles. It is not hyperbolic to argue that the GOP is the party of pedophiles.

While there are certainly cases in which Democrats, even in leadership, just like the GOP, have been found to be implicated in similar, nefarious crimes, they are almost always immediately kicked to the curb. But when it comes to the GOP, it is a hotbed for pedophiles and sexual criminals. Again, just look right at the Oval Office.

Indeed, the party is such a breeding ground for sexual crimes that one site is dedicated to comprehensively listing the names of these criminals. It’s called Republican Sexual Predators. On it, there are over 1,474 cases of sexual crimes committed by the party of “Family Values.” The site is a treasure trove of how the GOP is riddled with sexual criminals.

In the About Me section, the site reads:

I began this project during the Kavanaugh hearing. I was angry at the repeat of the Thomas hearing with another sexual predator bullying his way onto the Supreme Court by throwing a tantrum.

You will not find adult consensual relationships on this list despite the hypocrisy of family values politicians having an affair or an anti-gay pastor revealed to be gay. No one will be on this list simply for patronizing sex workers. Hypocrisy is not abuse.

What you will find is many kinds of abuse of power. You will find Republican rapists, child molesters, sexual harassers, and domestic abusers.

You will also find people who covered up for child molesters to protect their organizations more than the people. You will find people who deny acquaintance rape, who blame women for rape, and judges who think rape is no big deal. They are people with power who enable this abuse to continue.

In July of this year, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, had the courage to speak up about these troubling facts. In this case, she took the GOP to task for refusing to release the now infamous Epstein files.

In a post on X, Congresswoman Omar said, “The pedophile protection party is shutting down Congress just to avoid voting on the release of the Epstein files,”

At the time, GOP lawmakers squelched a vote supported by Democrats attempting to force the release of Epstein’s files. It failed 211-210, which was, of course, along party lines.

As of now, MAGA Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is complicit refusing to release the files, as he refuses to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ). She would be the vote needed to release the files. There are also sound theories that the government was shutdown in order to not release the Epstein files, all in the name of protecting people related to sexual, pedophilic crimes.

But the mainstream media won’t put together a narrative that tells the bigger story. As the Republican Sexual Predators’ site reveals, there is a pattern of sexual misconduct and abuse, and it is wide and deep. Instead, the press reports on these stories in a hodge-podge manner, a scattershot way, that makes it difficult for the pubic to put together the full picture. While Americans have put the pieces together themselves, it’s no thanks to the mainstream media. It’s really a result of independent, intrepid journalists doing the hard work, putting the jigsaw puzzle(s) together, staying on top of these stories, and refusing to let up.
