Quick Note Expressing Appreciation and Gratitude
Sending Money to the Gazan Family for Winter Blankets
As many of you are aware, I try my best to support the Ibrahim family in Gaza while they try their best to survive a horrific, unspeakable genocide.
Furthermore, half the proceeds from my paid subscribers go to help the Ibrahims. As I’ve mentioned in the past, the Ibrahims depend upon us for everything. (For example, the father, Salem, reached out to me this past summer when his father had had a stroke and immediately needed medicine, which was taken care of as soon as I learned about it.) But, yeah, it’s everything, including their food, daily living supplies, medicine, etc.
On that note, however, I wanted to send a special shout-out to those of you who are paid subscribers or who have donated to the Ibrahim family on their GoFundMe page. Today, I decided to send more than half of the proceeds I received from my Substack this month to them, as Salem told me over Facebook messenger—that’s how we usually communicate—that it was getting cold over there. He needed money for blankets as soon as possible, especially since his parents and Elias are sensitive to the cold.
Thanks to putting together our resources, I was able to send the money so that the family can buy blankets for the winter. These paid subscriptions and those donations to their GoFundMe page mean so much to them, and to me, too.
If you want to help out, it’s pretty straightforward. For starters, if you’d like to become a paid subscriber to my Substack, you can do that. It’s just another way to aid the Ibrahim family, as my own resources are stretched thin for them. I am aware that many people are making donations here, there, and everywhere (thank you for being such generous human beings!), and your budgets are likely tight, as mine is. However, even just $2.50 a month going towards supporting this family will help immensely, especially if we collectively pool our resources. (If you aren’t inclined to become a paid subscriber, which is totally cool, you can also just hit the link below the family picture above or click on it here for a one-time donation. I also encourage you to share their story with people you think might be interested in helping out.)
Anyway, I just wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude for helping out this special family. Again, as I mentioned earlier, it means a great deal to me, and it means the world to them.
Peace for Palestine. That’s what I pray for, and that’s why I give.
