Surgery

Right now, there is a tension in my thoughts, and in my body, too. In 30 minutes, my mother will be having surgery in the Midwest. I’m not there. I’m rarely there. I try to visit when I can but life has brought me to the East Coast. My brother lives on the Left Coast. His daughter tends to my parents since she lives near them. But today would be the day for us to be present.
